In January we took a little break, but we are now back at it- busy with practicing, booking shows, and a photo shoot with Devon Gillott!!
On other exciting news, Genevieve’s album “Updraft” garnered a Producer of the Year award for Marc Atkinson at the Vancouver Island Music Awards. AND her song “Farmer AIn’t in the Dell was nominated for Country recording of the year! She has also been the Open Mic featured artist for March 2015 on Folk Alley, the popular folk music website.
Later this spring we’ve got our first off-island adventure planned! First stop Vancouver, then off to Nelson and Silverton in a whirlwind weekend. We know the folks in the Kootenays are going to enjoy us, and we will enjoy driving through the Rocky Mountains in May- spring wild flowers all in bloom! Check out our show page for details.
Then we are stoked to be playing the festival at Twisted Vine Farm, Duncan, July 5th, then the Islands Folk Festival July 24-26. We’ll have some new tunes brushed up by then, and our older songs are sounding pretty great too- getting really solid and dynamic. We’re sprucing up our bio and have a new poster… things are coming along. And the joy of the music continues!
